Terms of Service

The terms and conditions that apply when you use our website or engage UK Loftsaver to carry out insulation, spray foam removal, or related services.

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using our website or booking any services with UK Loftsaver. By using this website or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. About Us

These terms apply to services provided by:

UK Loftsaver Cumberland Place, Southampton, Hampshire, SO15 2BG United Kingdom

Telephone: 07960 194764 Email: admin@ukloftsaver.com Website: https://ukloftsaver.com

UK Loftsaver is a trading business operating as an insulation contractor, roofing contractor, general contractor, and property maintenance service.

2. Our Services

UK Loftsaver provides the following categories of service to residential and commercial customers across the United Kingdom:

  • Insulation installation — including blown-in cellulose, PIR rigid board, and multi-foil insulation
  • Spray foam removal — including removal for mortgage and equity release purposes, closed and open-cell foam removal, dry ice blasting, and condition reporting
  • General contracting — including spray foam removal certification and survey reports
  • Debris removal — including old insulation removal, rodent-contaminated insulation clearance, and HEPA vacuum cleaning
  • Property maintenance — including raised loft boarding for storage

We carry out the majority of work with our own experienced team. For certain specialist tasks, we may bring in trusted tradespeople we have personally vetted; in these cases, we remain involved throughout and take full responsibility for the result.

3. Quotations and Pricing

3.1 Free surveys

We offer a free, no-obligation property survey before providing a formal quotation. The survey allows us to accurately assess the scope of work required.

3.2 Quotations

All quotations are provided in writing and are valid for 30 days from the date of issue, unless otherwise stated. A quotation is not a binding contract until both parties have confirmed acceptance in writing (including by email).

3.3 Variations

If additional work is required beyond the agreed scope — for example, due to unforeseen conditions discovered during the job — we will notify you before proceeding and provide a revised price in writing. We will not carry out additional chargeable work without your prior approval.

3.4 VAT

All prices are quoted inclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated. Our VAT registration details will appear on your invoice.

4. Bookings and Confirmation

A booking is confirmed once you have accepted our written quotation and we have confirmed your appointment date. We will send you confirmation by email or in writing. Please ensure the contact details you provide are accurate and current.

You are responsible for ensuring appropriate access to the property on the agreed date and that the work area is reasonably clear and safe for our team to work in.

5. Payment Terms

5.1 Payment on completion

Unless agreed otherwise in writing, payment is due on the day the work is completed to your satisfaction. We operate a “pay on completion” policy — you do not pay until the job is done.

5.2 Accepted payment methods

We accept payment by bank transfer, card, or other methods as confirmed at the time of booking.

5.3 Late payment

If payment is not received within 14 days of the completion date, we reserve the right to charge statutory interest at 8% above the Bank of England base rate, in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

6. Cancellation and Rescheduling

6.1 Your right to cancel

You may cancel or reschedule your appointment at any time before the start of work. We ask for at least 48 hours’ notice where possible so we can allocate the time to other customers.

6.2 Cancellation after work commences

If you cancel after work has commenced, you will be liable for the cost of any work already completed and materials already ordered or delivered on your behalf.

6.3 Cancellation by us

In rare circumstances, we may need to reschedule due to unforeseen events (such as extreme weather, equipment failure, or staff illness). We will contact you as soon as possible and arrange an alternative date at no additional cost to you.

7. Your Obligations

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about your property and the work required
  • Ensure reasonable access to the property at the agreed time
  • Notify us of any relevant hazards, structural concerns, or access restrictions prior to the survey or start of work
  • Not interfere with or obstruct the work in progress in a way that could compromise safety or quality

8. Workmanship Guarantee

We stand behind the quality of our work. If you are not satisfied with any aspect of the service provided, please contact us within 30 days of completion and we will investigate and remedy the issue at no extra charge, subject to the following:

  • The issue arises from our workmanship, not from factors outside our control
  • The property has not been altered or worked on by a third party since our visit
  • The concern is reported in writing (email is acceptable)

This guarantee is in addition to your statutory rights and does not affect them.

9. Liability

9.1 Our liability

We carry public liability insurance of £5 million. We are responsible for any damage directly caused by our negligence during the course of work.

9.2 Limitations

We are not liable for:

  • Pre-existing damage or defects in your property that we did not cause
  • Consequential or indirect losses (such as loss of income or alternative accommodation costs) unless caused by our proven negligence
  • Damage arising from inaccurate information you provided about the property or its condition

9.3 Statutory rights

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982, or any other applicable UK consumer protection legislation.

10. Third-Party Reports and Certifications

Where we issue survey reports, condition reports, or removal certificates, these are based on our professional assessment at the time of inspection. We cannot be held liable for how mortgage lenders, RICS surveyors, or other third parties interpret or respond to our documentation, as these decisions are made independently of us.

We recommend you confirm any lender-specific requirements before booking work intended to facilitate a mortgage application or equity release.
